You can now reach peak-millennial with some overpriced avocado toast holiday ornaments

If you wish to become a parody of a millennial this Christmas, consider buying an overpriced holiday ornament of avocado toast.

That’s right, the avocado toast has reached peak avocado toast just in time for the holidays, and for a whopping $17 from cookware company Sur La Table, you can really stick it to the haters out there by putting this on your tree.

The internet dishes mixed reactions to a bakery replacing baby Jesus with a sausage roll

TwitterFacebook

Away in a manger, no crib for a bed, a little sausage roll laid down its sweet… whatever sausage rolls have instead of heads.

UK bakery chain and national symbol of pride Greggs came under fire recently after they used an image of the baby Jesus replaced with a sausage roll to promote their new advent calendar.

I would gladly swap everything I’ve ever made to have created this image for the @GreggsOfficial Christmas calendar – pic.twitter.com/CtAHHxGF7q

These Xbox Christmas ornaments are adorable, if you can get your hands on one

TwitterFacebook

Gee, this year has flown by.

With Christmas mere weeks away, there’s a whole suite of holiday products ready to be thrust at you. Fortunately, Microsoft’s Xbox Christmas ornaments are rather quite adorable — although getting your hands on them is a rather strange process.

These mini versions of an Xbox One S controller and console are designed to brighten up your Christmas tree with a bit of gaming-related cheer this season.

Unfortunately for those who already have the latest Xbox, you’ll only be able to get one if you buy a console from the flagship Microsoft Store in New York or Sydney, Australia from Nov. 23. Boo, hiss — unless you needed a new console. In that case, good for you. Read more…

This Twitter thread about missing loved ones at Christmas has a heartwarming twist ending

TwitterFacebook

Twitter may be packed full of petty arguments, angry trolls, and more vitriol than you can shake a tiny blue bird at, but it’s not all bad.

Sometimes it can actually be quite a nice place.

On Saturday, Rachael Prior wrote two tweets describing how Christmas reminds her of her dad.

Nowhere and no time do I miss my dad more acutely than in the men’s department of M&S at Christmas.

The John Lewis Christmas advert tells a cute story about a little boy and his imagination

In Britain, the Christmas season doesn’t officially begin with lights, mince pies, or shopping holidays.
For many people the bellwether of the season is the blockbuster Christmas ad from department store John Lewis, which is usually designed to t…

Nine-year-old Jacob Thompson, who has stage 4 high-risk neuroblastoma, will be celebrating his last Christmas this year. But he’s still feeling the holiday spirit — and he’d love to get some homemade cards.

Per a GoFundMe page created by Jacob’s parents, Jacob was admitted to the Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital in Portland, Maine early last month. Next weekend, he’ll have an early Christmas party complete with a tree, “snow,” and an appearance from Santa Claus.

According to Good Housekeeping, Jacob’s one special request is for anyone who feels inspired to send him a homemade holiday card. The cheerier the better. Read more…
