Man attempts to slide down tube escalator, instantly regrets life choices

TwitterFacebook

It may have looked cool in Skyfall, but in real life sliding down a London tube escalator is far, far less glamorous.

This was perfectly demonstrated in a Twitter video shared by 23-year-old James Gower on Thursday.

“Top night last night, but this has to be the highlight,” he wrote.

The accompanying video was truly wince-inducing.

Don’t worry though, folks; he’s okay.

Fuuuuuuuck me that blew up 😂😂 for everyone that’s asking, yeh he’s alright. Few cuts and bruises but he’s all good 😂

This student’s story about her first college exam is so hilariously cringy

TwitterFacebook

Exams are stressful enough without worrying about having the right notebook. Or worrying about finding the right building, or worrying about getting there on time. Or worrying about running into a glass window.

As nightmarish as it sounds, this is the tale of student Ann Mark’s first college final exam — in all its cringe-inducing, hilarious glory.

Last Friday, Mark — a student at the University of Texas at Austin — had an exam for World Cinema History.

Company’s Christmas competition results in very awkward Instagram hashtag fail

TwitterFacebook

When you’re running an Instagram competition, it’s important to get your hashtag game on point.

You want something snappy, something catchy — maybe something with a bit of alliteration. Something that will be memorable.

This was clearly the thought process British baking company Warburtons had recently when they decided to launch a Christmas crumpet competition.

They had their celebrity — former McFly star Tom Fletcher was on board — and they had their hashtag: #crumpetcreations. They were ready to roll.

People are tweeting their failed attempts to make gingerbread houses

TwitterFacebook

People may be good at getting into the Christmas spirit, but that doesn’t mean they’re any good at constructing a sound gingerbread house.

Nobody is, it seems. This holiday season Twitter has been awash with dismal, tragic photos of the tiny lopsided constructions.

Just look at some of these delicious disasters…

Awful:

Listen. I tried to make a gingerbread house. OK I tried pic.twitter.com/TnW14IQxgd

This newspaper’s epic headline fail is a copy editor’s worst nightmare

TwitterFacebook

Ever write something just as a place-holder just so you could come back to it later? [witty example here].

A local paper in the UK had what could honestly be a copy editor’s anxiety dream come to life.

Front page ready to go? You checked it?
Yeah, it’s good@CambridgeNewsUK pic.twitter.com/YqazwkQ7ZZ

To be fair, “100 pt splash heading here” sounds like a major scoop.

If you think you’re having a bad day, just think how the editor of the Cambridge News must be feeling….😱

Woman attempts yoga pose on a log over a river and it does not go well

TwitterFacebook

We can probably blame social media for this.

A woman attempting to show off her yoga skills on a fallen tree stretched across fast-moving river ended up floating downstream.

If the yoga picture wasn’t worth it or if I don’t make it on America’s Funniest Home Videos it was not worth it at all pic.twitter.com/YSnBNIptTL

— Chisa(; (@Chisamariee) May 17, 2017

Twitter user Chisamariee posted the clip back in May, which initially saw little engagement, but has since resurfaced on Reddit. She lines up for a pose, but quickly loses her balance and ends up in the river. She can be seen floating downstream before the clip ends. Read more…
