TwitterFacebook

Since departing the White House in 2017, Michelle Obama has been speaking at various events, locking down a Netflix deal with her husband, subtly throwing shade at Trump, and working on a new book that will grace the bookshelves of America this fall.

It’s called Becoming — and the memoir’s cover, featuring a portrait of the former FLOTUS, is finally here.

“As I prepare to share BECOMING this fall, I hope you’ll also think about your own story, and trust that it will help you become whoever you aspire to be,” she shared on Twitter, along with a photo of the book. “Your story is what you have, what you will always have. It is something to own.” Read more…

Michelle Obama shared the perfect parenting metaphor for Trump’s White House

TwitterFacebook

No, Michelle Obama isn’t running for president — but she does have some thoughts about the guy who’s taken up residency in her old home.

While speaking at the Simmons Leadership Conference in Boston on Thursday, the former first lady addressed the Trump presidency using parenting as the perfect metaphor to describe everything that has conspired since her husband left office.

“I think what we see is what happens when we take things for granted,” Obama said. “I always felt like for the eight years Barack was president, it was like having the ‘good parent’ at home. The responsible parent, the one who told you to eat your carrots and go to bed on time.” Read more…
