Justin Timberlake dances around nature in ‘Man of the Woods’ music video

TwitterFacebook

Justin Timberlake’s new album Man of the Woods released Friday along with a new music for the album’s namesake song: “Man of the Woods.”

“Man of the Woods” is a light, summery kind of song about how JT loves his wife, Jessica Biel, and likes to brag about her because, well, JT’s a man of the woods. The entire song is upbeat with occasional twangs of a telecaster — the first reference to Timberlake’s southern roots that were promised by album’s initial advertisements.

In the music video, Timberlake dances around various forest scenes and log cabins, enjoying the outdoorsy life with Biel. And, of course, Timberlake is wearing a flannel shirt, jeans, and big hiking boots throughout most of the video because, well, JT’s a man of the woods. Read more…

U2’s new music video is a vibrant yet disturbing call for resistance

TwitterFacebook

U2 has released an admittedly very Bono, but also actually pretty cool, animated video for their new single “Get Out Of Your Own Way.” The track is off their “Songs of Experience” album, which is out on Spotify, iTunes, and other services.

With lyrics like “Fight back, don’t take it lying down you’ve got to bite back/ The face of liberty is starting to crack,” the song is a rallying cry for social change across the world in the face of growing nationalism, fascism, and racism. The lyrics are pretty general “resistance” calls to action, but in the video’s animation, things get more interesting and specific. Read more…

Solange directed SZA’s latest music video in the most Solange-way possible

TwitterFacebook

SZA’s album has been on almost every top album list this year (including our own). It’s no surprise there’s heavy anticipation for every visual she drops — and it turns out the wait for the official video for her single “The Weekend” has been well worth it.

Solange takes on the director role for the video and provides us with an extended cut of Cranes In The Sky visuals. Lots of long shots from far away, dancing, and a whole lot of cool from the dynamic duo.

This story about Harry Styles cheering up a little girl is super heartwarming

TwitterFacebook

Starring in a Harry Styles video is already pretty darn cool in itself — but it’s even cooler when you get to have a one-on-one chat with the singer behind the scenes.

Poppy Connell knows this better than most people.

She recently starred in the music video for Styles’ song “Kiwi” (the one with all the kids throwing cakes at each other), but missed the chance to be in the photo with Harry at the end.
