Well, that escalated quickly.
Former Trump aide Sam Nunberg called into both MSNBC and CNN today to talk about his refusal to comply with a subpoena issued to him in connection with Robert Mueller’s investigation. In two jaw-dropping interviews that stunned the political world (and probably Nunberg’s lawyer), Nunberg, who was fired by the Trump campaign in August 2015, revealed he had no plans to cooperate with Mueller — a stunt that will most likely end up with him in jail.
Besides complaining about how much time it would take him to dig through his emails (as the subpoena requires), he also let it drop that Mueller may have something on Trump, though he was unable to identify precisely what that was. Hmm. Read more…

Following a veritable shitstorm of backlash after he referred to places including Haiti, El Salvador, and some African countries as “shithole countries,” Trump has declared that not only did he not say the derogatory comment, but that he isn’t racist. Wait, the “least racist person.”

Oprah may be running for president in 2020 — and, uh, even the Trumps are getting on board.
Last night, Ivanka Trump retweeted Oprah’s now-famous Golden Globes speech with enthusiasm and included the anti-sexual harassment #TimesUp hashtag (with no mention, of course, of her father’s accusers). Then on Tuesday, Trump expressed his own qualified enthusiasm for a potential Oprah run.
“Yeah, I’ll beat Oprah,” Trump told a room full of reporters. “Oprah would be a lot of fun. I know her very well. For Twitter user’s @Bornmiserable’s latest creation, he swapped photos of the real Trump with his now legendary Disney animatronic figure. The result was just as upsetting as you always imagined it would be.
@BornMiserable says it’s an improvement, which I cannot independently verify as this image has turned me into stone.
“I’ve done several Trump Photoshops and when I saw that animatronic figure, I just thought it would make more sense to put it in place of him — just about as much of a human being as he is,” @BornMiserable told Mashable. Read more…
