We need to talk about a trend that appears to be emerging in Hollywood’s post-Weinstein era. The era which declared Time’s Up on harassment and abuse.
It’s a gesture that has the power to enact a tangible change in the industry, but it’s import…

Judge slams USA Gymnastics doctor for saying victim statements about abuse hurt his mental health
More than 100 women have made sexual assault accusations against USA Gymnastics team physician Larry Nassar, including athletes Gabby Douglas, Aly Raisman, Simone Biles, and McKayla Maroney.
But apparently he doesn’t want to hear about it — it’s too “mentally” hard to listen to their testimonies, according to a six-page letter Nassar wrote to Judge Rosemarie Aquilina, who’s presiding over his sentencing. Nassar pled guilty to 10 sexual assault charges, and as part of a plea deal he agreed to let women and girls who reported abuse give statements, or have them read through a proxy, during his sentencing hearing, according to the Lansing State Journal in Michigan, where the proceeding is being held. More than 100 are expected to do so. Read more…

Dylan Farrow slams stars supporting Time’s Up, but working with Woody Allen
Hollywood is smack bang in the middle of a revolution against sexual harassment and abuse, but Dylan Farrow has had it with some stars’ apparent hypocrisy.
The daughter of director Woody Allen has slammed several supporters of the anti-harassment initiative Time’s Up, including Blake Lively, star of Café Society, and Justin Timberlake, star of Wonder Wheel, for continuing to work with her father.
“It’s of course particularly hard for me as a survivor of sexual abuse to know that for these particular individuals I am not part of the ‘every woman’ they stand for.” https://t.co/XmIq8L2dOm

‘Silicon Valley’ actor T.J. Miller accused of sexual assault
A woman has accused comedian T.J. Miller of physically and sexually assaulting her in college. Though the matter was addressed in part by a student court, she revealed her full story anonymously to The Daily Beast in a story published Tuesday morning in light of Hollywood’s ongoing revelations about systemic sexual assault and harassment. She detailed two separate incidents of alleged sexual or physical assault that she described as “so disorienting and so physically traumatic.”
The Daily Beast spoke with multiple people who knew the woman or Miller then and could help corroborate the allegations, which Miller and his wife have denied. Some women in the comedy community even told The Daily Beast that they refuse to work with Miller after previously hearing about this alleged incident, which they say Miller would occasionally joke about.
