If you happen to be a star in Game of Thrones, interviews — pretty much any interview, even if it’s not directly about the fantasy epic — must be something of a minefield.

The further along the show has progressed, the more obsessed we’ve all become with finding clues about where the story’s headed. During the last Season, scripts and even whole episodes were being leaked on an almost weekly basis.

The latest detail to make headlines, though, wasn’t a plot point — it was a supposed release date.

Maisie Williams announces ‘Game of Thrones’ return date

Game of Thrones’ Maisie Williams may have accidentally spilled the beans on when the series will be returning for its eighth season in 2019.

Williams said that the Game of Thrones Season 8 premiere will air in April 2019, the series star shared in an interview with Metro Friday.

“We wrap in December and we air our first episode in April [2019],” the Arya Stark actor told Metro. “That’s a four-month turnaround for these huge episodes. There’s a lot that goes into the final edit. You would not want to rush this season at all. We owe it to our audience and our fans to really do this final season to the best of our abilities.” Read more…

Game of Thrones stamps are no exception.

On Friday, Hanks appeared alongside Maisie Williams and Anthony Joshua on The Graham Norton Show — and as soon as Norton brought out the new Arya Stark stamp, Hanks enthusiastically donned his glasses to take a look.

Maisie Williams confirms Arya Stark has 3 new names on her kill list

Arya Stark’s list is a nightmare: no matter how many people she kills, the damn list just keeps getting longer.

Appearing on The Graham Norton Show on Friday, Maisie Williams described an unusual request she often gets from Game of Thrones fans.

“They want me to recite the names, but then add their name,” explains Williams in the clip.

Before long some ominous music is playing, Williams is staring dead into the camera, and Graham Norton — along with fellow guests Anthony Joshua and Tom Hanks — have all been added. Read more…

Maisie Williams admits she’s ‘really excited’ for ‘Game of Thrones’ to be over

Being a major star in Game of Thrones is obviously super cool — but it must be pretty darn time-consuming, too.

Everyone’s favourite list-keeper and Frey-slayer, a.k.a. Maisie Williams, recently spoke to BBC Newsbeat about her plans after Game of Thrones is over.

From the sounds of it, she can’t wait.

“I’m really excited for Game of Thrones to finish and there’s going to be time for me to do whatever I want,” Williams said.

“That’s just incredibly exciting and it will be nice to pick roles that I want to do.” Read more…
