Mark Hamill destroys the guy who killed Net Neutrality with an epic ‘Star Wars’ tweet

Net Neutrality is dead thanks to the Federal Communication Commission’s idiot chairman Ajit Pai, and Mark Hamill is pissed.
The Last Jedi star took some time out of the movie’s huge opening weekend to rip Pai a new one on Twitter, and man was it an e…

Mark Hamill’s tweet about ‘Star Wars’ reviews is peak Mark Hamill

TwitterFacebook

So the Star Wars: The Last Jedi reviews are in, they’re overwhelmingly positive, and nobody is happier about that than everyone’s favourite Jedi.

On Friday morning, Mark Hamill took to Twitter to share his glee about the reviews — and he did it in absolutely classic Hamill fashion.

Someone seems pleased with the reviews.#TheLastJedi #TheWaitIsOVER pic.twitter.com/sPmqrI2KVs

Mark Hamill and Stephen Colbert bless us with Luke Skywalker’s ‘lost’ Cantina scene

TwitterFacebook

Ever wondered what Luke Skywalker was up to between Return of the Jedi and The Force Awakens? Well, Mark Hamill and noted Star Wars superfan Stephen Colbert have the answer: He was trying to get into a bar.

A really delightful sketch from Friday’s Late Show features Hamill as a middle-aged Luke and Colbert as a condescending Cantina maître d’. Unfortunately, Luke’s galaxy-saving reputation has not preceded him to the bar, and he can’t convince Colbert to let him in.

Dad jokes — including several about the franchise’s absolutely bonkers names for characters — ensue. And the whole thing culminates in Colbert singing the Cantina band song, which is just lovely. Powers that be, please cast him in a future movie. Read more…

Mark Hamill once made a child’s dream to meet Luke Skywalker come true

TwitterFacebook

Star Wars: The Last Jedi may be coming out Dec. 15, but let the real Luke Skywalker bring you to tears right now.

Screenwriter Ed Solomon shared a story Monday about Mark Hamill meeting a terminally ill child and giving him the chance to finally meet his favorite Star Wars character.

In a short Twitter thread, Solomon told the very heartwarming tale.

WHY I WILL LOVE @HamillHimself FOREVER (THREAD OF 4):

When a friend’s son (who was, so tragically, dying from an incurable illness) made a wish: to meet Luke Skywalker, it fell on me — the only person the dad knew who worked in the film business — to make a call. 1/4

Mark Hamill and John Boyega are trolling ‘Star Wars’ fans on Twitter again

TwitterFacebook

Remember earlier this year, when John Boyega and Mark Hamill were gleefully trolling Star Wars fans by tweeting jokey “spoilers” at each other?

Well, they’re at it again.

It started last Friday, when Boyega tweeted about the start of the publicity run for The Last Jedi.

Stomach already in pain after a few interviews with @HamillHimself

Constant banter with @lovegwendoline

Reunited with peanut and my rose ☺️

Not a bad day!

— John Boyega (@JohnBoyega) December 1, 2017

Never one to miss an opportunity for some light trolling (or some serious dad puns), Hamill responded. Read more…

Come on, of course Luke and Leia will reunite in ‘The Last Jedi’

TwitterFacebook

There are some questions that answer themselves the moment you ask them. Case in point: “Will Luke & Leia reunite?”

That’s the query gracing the main cover of Entertainment Weekly‘s special on the upcoming Star Wars sequel The Last Jedi, hitting newsstands Monday. The magazine doesn’t exactly answer this  question about the galaxy’s most famous twins — spoilers, sweetie! — other than to say there’s a “still a chance these two could find each other again.”

Given that this story was produced with the total cooperation of Lucasfilm, among other pointers from the trailers, we’ve got a very good feeling about their chances.  Read more…
