Net neutrality killer Ajit Pai would rather not accept that NRA gun award
It was only a week ago that FCC Chairman Ajit Pai was surprised with a “Courage Under Fire” award from the NRA for killing net neutrality.
Pai led the effort to repeal Obama-era regulations that kept the internet free and open. By April 23, the new rules should be in place.
The NRA recognized Pai for his work destroying fair access to the internet with an award at the Conservative Political Action Conference last week.
It should be noted that the Charlton Heston Courage Under Fire Award is a gun — a handmade Kentucky long gun to be precise. This week, Politico reported Pai had to turn down the award because of ethical considerations. Read more…

Anti-NRA boycott turns to tech giants Apple and Amazon over NRA TV app
Plans for a 24-hour boycott on March 1 of companies that have relationships with the NRA include tech giants Apple and Amazon, as well as other major companies like FedEx, Roku, and YouTube.
The “#march1NRAboycott” effort stems from efforts by a group of celebrities including Alyssa Milano and Debra Messing and now has the backing of Shannon Coulter, the force behind the #GrabYourWallet protests which have targeted President Donald Trump.

Amy Poehler blasts NRA after they tweeted a ‘Parks & Rec’ GIF
The NRA has turned being tone-deaf into an art form, and now they’ve gone and incurred the wrath of Amy Poehler and some fellow Parks & Rec alums.
On Wednesday night, the NRA sent a tweet that featured a gif of Poehler’s Leslie Knope character. The tweet thanked their controversial spokeswoman Dana Loesch, who appeared on a CNN town hall event Wednesday night alongside students from Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, the site of last week’s deadly school shooting in Parkland, Florida that claimed the lives of 17 people.
