There’s currently no interracial couple emoji. Tinder wants to change that.

TwitterFacebook

Emoji have evolved faster than any other language in history. But, one thing that’s lagged behind is the ability to represent everyone.

One community that’s still not represented at all by these tiny glyphs is interracial couples, and Tinder wants to do something about that.

The dating app has created a Change.org petition urging the Unicode Consortium — the organization in charge of our emoji — to create an emoji that represents interracial couples.

680K disgruntled Snapchatters have signed a petition to get rid of the new update

The Snapchat redesign is proving rather controversial, to say the very least. Indeed, Chrissy Teigen’s already declared that she hates it, making us all feel far less alone.

Over 100,000 people sign petition calling on FCC chairman Ajit Pai to resign

TwitterFacebook

We knew it was likely, but that hasn’t made it any more popular.

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) voted to kill net neutrality Thursday, ushering in an era of new power for internet providers.

Now people are calling for the head of the FCC’s head.

An online petition demanding the resignation of Ajit Pai, the organization’s chairman, pulled in over 100,000 names by Friday, just over 24 hours after the vote. The page at MoveOn.org blames Pai for “ignoring millions of complaints about removing net neutrality and for impeding freedom of speech on the internet” and demands he step aside. Read more…
