Other critics and viewers thought there was a strong, nostalgic ’90s feel to the film, and yep, you bet it’s going to be a lot of fun.
#CaptainMarvel has a great ‘90s sci-fi vibe w/ a tone unlike any other Marvel movie, really. It’s retro & trippy, mysterious & dorky. It’s funny in surprising places & badass in all the right places. It remains entertaining because it’s always changing. It’s got the right stuff pic.twitter.com/o7AvqYY63x

Gwyneth Paltrow to say bye to Pepper Potts after ‘Avengers: Endgame’
Gwyneth Paltrow will reportedly exit the Marvel Cinematic Universe after Avengers: Endgame. The actress told Variety that the April film will be her last hurrah as Stark Industries exec Pepper Potts, whom she debuted in 2008 at the start of the MCU.
“I mean, I’m a bit old to be in a suit and all that at this point,” she said (Pepper suited up in 2013’s Iron Man 3 after nearly dying in battle). “I feel very lucky that I did it, because I actually got talked into it…It was such a wonderful experience making the first ‘Iron Man’ and then to watch how important it has become to the fans.”

There is no movie more prescient than RoboCop.
The 1987 action movie may seem ridiculous on the surface — a cop gets turned into a robot cop to fight crime in futuristic Detroit — but it takes aim at some of the United States’ biggest issues that are still affecting us today, including privatization of public institutions, gentrification, unchecked capitalism, corruption, and television media.
Yes, RoboCop is over the top, but that’s what makes it so fun. That, combined with its messages that still hold merit 32 years later, makes it worth revisiting. Read more…
