Like an unexpected cold wind in the middle of this long, dark winter, Sean Spicer has swept back in to our lives once more.

The former Press Secretary for the Trump Administration is back in the public eye as a “special correspondent” for, of all things, the syndicated ExtraTV entertainment news show.

In a new video posted by ExtraTV on Twitter, a hiking-vested Spicer is seen joshing around with current Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and his wife Susan about the Oscars.

John Oliver has some stark thoughts about the 2020 elections

TwitterFacebook

Are the 2020 elections worth going into in any great detail at the moment?

John Oliver isn’t so sure.

“The bar’s pretty low now,” the comedian and Last Week Tonight host told Seth Meyers. “Whenever anyone announces for president now you just go, ‘Sure, fine — yeah, added to the list, you’re fine. Kamala Harris, great. Bernie Sanders, great. A tortoise, walking across an abandoned Wendy’s parking lot? Has he got an exploratory committee? You would work as well.'”

Oliver thinks that right now, there isn’t much to see when it comes to new candidates putting themselves forward.

“It’s dangerous I think giving it too much attention right now when there’s plenty of other **** we should be looking at,” he said. Read more…

Trump shares SOTU parody which turns Democrats into cry babies like a very real president

TwitterFacebook

Donald Trump is back at it again with the extremely un-presidential tweets.

On Friday afternoon, hours after he held a press conference outside the White House to announce he was declaring a national emergency (even though he didn’t need to) the president tweeted a parody State of the Union video in an effort to mock Democrats.

The video, originally created by @carpedonktum, shows clips of Democratic members of Congress at Trump’s State of the Union address set to that super emo R.E.M. song, “Everybody Hurts.”

The 2:20 video was posted to YouTube earlier this month and received more than 50,000 views, but it seems Trump just noticed — and it must have really spoken to him. Read more…

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is ‘fine’ with a sitting president who smokes weed

TwitterFacebook

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez continues to be chill as hell.

In an interview with TMZ on Wednesday, Ocasio-Cortez shared some of her thoughts on cannabis legalization, proving she’s extremely open-minded on the topic.

When asked if she’d be OK with a sitting president who smokes, the 29-year-old congresswoman said, “I don’t care. Yeah. I don’t care, it’s fine with me. You’re not hurting anybody, you know?”

“There are plenty of people who drink, they’ll go out to happy hour … how is that different from anything else?” Ocasio-Cortez questioned.

Her comments come after several politicians running for president — such as Kamala Harris — shared positions on marijuana legalization, along with past experiences. Read more…

Stephen Colbert rips into Trump’s tweets about his daily ‘executive time’

TwitterFacebook

Ever wondered how Trump spends the majority of his days?

Well, according to a recent leak, a big chunk of his daily schedule involves something mysteriously known as “executive time”.

“He’s been particularly Twitter-rific lately which is no surprise, considering recent leaks revealed Trump’s schedule is 60% ‘executive time’,” Colbert says in the clip above.

“Coincidentally, executive time is also what Paul Manafort is serving.”

Colbert then breaks down some of the tweets Trump’s been pumping out — including the one where he responded to the leak by describing himself as “generally working” during these time slots. Read more…
