Blue Apron shares trade down 9% after disappointing earnings
Blue Apron just can’t catch a break. The New York-based cooking kit business released its third-quarter earnings before the bell on Thursday. The results were mixed. The company handily beat revenue expectations, but its losses were also worse than expected. Revenue was $210.6 million, a 3% increase from the same period last year. Analysts surveyed by Yahoo Finance had been… Read More

At Google’s Go North event today in Toronto, which features a slate of speakers focused primarily on artificial intelligence, Alphabet chairman Eric Schmidt spoke to Prime Minister Justin Trudeau (and actually asked him some tough questions on NAFTA negotiations and his feelings about Trump, surprisingly). Trudeau talked a lot about the Canadian perspective on innovation, and about… Read More

Whether it’s Iron Man fiddling with his arc reactor or Star-Lord getting hosed down, you can almost always count on the hero of any given Marvel movie to lose his shirt — it’s practically a trope.
At this point —17 films and nine years into the Marvel Cinematic Universe — the “shirtless superhero” scene is up there with Stan Lee cameos, post-credits scenes, and 30something blond men named Chris in terms of reliable franchise staples.

When The Wing launched its first New York space a year ago, it offered something a lot of women didn’t even know they wanted.
The coworking space/social club in the Flatiron district lets women network across fields, freshen up between meetings, and make calls, all in a perfectly curated, relaxing, pastel space. There’s also evening programming, including bartending classes, food-banking, and panels of women small business owners.
The Wing saw so much demand for its 21st-century revival of 19th-century women’s clubs that the waitlist for its $2,350 annual membership ran 8,000 people long.
A year later, The Wing is ready to get those women off the waitlist. The club opened its second space—three times the size of its first—in Soho this week. Locations in Brooklyn and Washington, D.C. are planned for winter 2018. Read more…

The posters and trailers for Thor: Ragnarok promised something different — a movie that’s a little more psychedelic than your typical Marvel film, a little more retro, while taking itself a lot less seriously. Ragnarok mostly delivers on that promise. The film, which officially opens tomorrow in the U.S., is directed by Taika Waititi, best known for the comedies What We Do In… Read More
