Fan’s photo with Jason Momoa goes viral for obvious reasons

TwitterFacebook

Any photo with Jason Momoa in it is already a cool photo — but the one below is on a whole other level.

Reddit user twoforjoy recently shared an image she’d had taken with the Justice League star at Denver Comic Con.

“I told my husband I wanted a picture alone with Jason Momoa,” she wrote, “but he wasn’t comfortable with that.”

This was the end result:

Truly a special photo.

Apparently Momoa was a fan of how it turned out, too.

Help, Jason Momoa is wet in new ‘Aquaman’ pictures

TwitterFacebook

While it stands to reason that anyone playing a hero called Aquaman would have to look good wet, I’d like to file a complaint with whoever got Jason Momoa, who plays Aquaman, quite this wet for the cover of Entertainment Weekly.

Look, I know this “photographer” was just doing their “job” but what gave them the right to shoot an image of this absolutely enormous, bearded, heavily tattooed man with the body of a god and the hair of a WWE wrestler and put it on the cover of a magazine?  Read more…

We’re crying at Emilia Clarke and Jason Momoa’s dreamy ‘Game of Thrones’ reunion pics

TwitterFacebook

What is dead may never die. That’s clear from the love between Game of Thrones actors Emilia Clark and Jason Momoa, which is still going strong even seven years after his character’s death on the show.

The iconic Khal Drogo might’ve been sacrificed in Season 1 (by Daenerys herself, actually), but Momoa has remained a fan of the show from afar. Now, as the show is closing in on its final days of shooting, he was welcomed back into the arms of old cast members to celebrate the end. And we mean literally into their arms.

Jason Momoa struggled to get work after ‘Game of Thrones’ for 1 very specific reason

You’d think after starring in a show like Game of Thrones, the jobs would be flying in.
Not if you’re Jason Momoa, though.

‘Game of Thrones’ Season 8 will be ‘the greatest thing that’s ever aired on TV’

TwitterFacebook

We can always count on Jason Momoa’s enthusiasm to get us through the day, whether he’s brightening up Justice League with his bro-speak or geeking out about Game of Thrones, the show that killed him off back in Season 1 but still retains his eternal loyalty.

During a recent visit to Belfast to see his buddies — but not to reprise his role as Khal Drogo (“He’s dead! He can’t come back, it wouldn’t work,” Momoa insists) — the Aquaman star apparently found out a lot more than he wanted to about Game of Thrones‘ final season.

Jason Momoa has no time for the ‘Justice League’ haters

TwitterFacebook

Whether you loved or hated Justice League, it’s clear that no one involved in the project was more pumped to be there than Jason Momoa, who obviously had a whale of a time (yes, that was a sea pun) playing Jason Momoa Arthur Curry, aka Aquaman, the team’s resident surfer bro and reluctant King of Atlantis.

Momoa clearly approached the role with all the joie de vivre he brings to his day-to-day existence — which, judging by his social media, is often spent throwing axes, drinking Guinness and hanging out with his beautiful friends — so he’s pretty “bummed” that the internet (and box office receipts) started raining on his parade by pointing out that the movie is ..not great. Jason Momoa’s story about meeting his wife Lisa Bonet starts off creepy, then turns super sweet

TwitterFacebook

Jason Momoa’s story about meeting Lisa Bonet treads a fine line between adorable and mildly creepy — but hey, the good news is it has a happy ending.

“Ever since I was like 8 years old and I saw her on the TV, I was like: ‘Mommy I want that one’,” explains Momoa in the clip above.

“I’m like: ‘I’m going to stalk you for the rest of my life and I’m going to get you.'”

Luckily, the story gets a bit less stalker-y when Momoa gets to the part about the night he first met Bonet — and they bonded in a cafe over their shared love of Guinness. Read more…

Jason Momoa speaking to Hugh Grant in Dothraki is beautiful to watch

TwitterFacebook

Speaking another language is a pretty cool party trick in any situation — but when the language in question is Dothraki, and the person delivering it happens to be Jason fricking Momoa, the whole thing gets taken to another level.

The Game of Thrones star appeared on The Graham Norton Show on Friday alongside Hugh Grant and comedian Sarah Millican. At one point he was asked by Norton to prove his knowledge of the Dothraki language, and prove it he most certainly did.

Just look at Hugh Grant’s cheerfully smiling face in the clip above. It’s not 100% clear if he actually knows what’s happening, but you can tell he’s having a lovely time either way. Read more…

The day my fan fiction foretold of has come: Khal Drogo and Tormund met IRL and are now best friends

TwitterFacebook

The prophecy of my 2013 Tumblr entry “Khal Drogo and Tormund go to bar and become friends” has at last come true.

While briefly in Belfast promoting Justice League, Jason Momoa had a night out with the cast of Game of Thones, who are filming in the area. Momoa wrote about it on Instagram, revealing that it was the first time he’s met Kristofer Hivju (AKA Tormund Giantsbane).

“I love seeing all my friends and new ones @khivju your a fucking legend,” Momoa wrote — EXACTLY as I predicted all those years ago.
