CNN’s Dickensian Trump / Mueller tweet brought out the Twitter peanut gallery in force

If you write something silly or foolish on Twitter, you’re gonna get dragged.

Mueller report sends a shocked internet into a hilarious frenzy

TwitterFacebook

It’s finally Mueller Time and no one knows what the fuck is happening.

Special counsel Robert Mueller finally delivered his report to Attorney General William Barr on Friday. The report investigates Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election and has been a point of contention in Trump’s two-year-long term.

As soon as news broke late Friday afternoon, Twitter users went into full meltdown mode and began sharing their hot takes.

Meme asks what if Robert Mueller is just procrastinating?

TwitterFacebook

As we all anxiously await the Mueller report, a curious theory has emerged: What if Robert Mueller, special counsel of the Russia investigation and former director of the FBI, is just procrastinating?

On a Friday afternoon — a great time to put off work — a lot of people wrote tweets about what Mueller might be up to in his procrastination hole. Sure, they might have done these tweets instead of doing their jobs, but that only makes the tweets better and more appropriate. (I say this because I participated.)

I’ve been in Robert Mueller’s position before and let me tell you, he has not written shit

Roger Stone’s very lame Instagram meme may soon land him in jail

TwitterFacebook

Roger Stone just can’t quit Instagramming.

Now it seems his inability to stay off the app may land him in serious trouble for violating a gag order in his current case stemming from the Mueller investigation.

Stone posted the image in question to his Instagram stories on Sunday. It’s a play on the Disney classic Who Framed Roger Rabbit, except with Stone subbed in for the titular bunny. It’s an obvious joke, one so bad it deserves at least an eyeroll.

Paul Manafort’s lawyers tried to redact a court filing but it didn’t work. Oops.

TwitterFacebook

Paul Manafort’s defense shot itself in the foot a bit when, in filing Manafort’s response to claims made by Special Counsel Robert Mueller, it didn’t properly redact sections of the submission — meaning anyone with the document can copy and paste the text underneath the black boxes.

When Paul Manafort’s lawyers submitted their latest pleading in federal court, they *tried* to redact some portions. They failed. You can copy the text right from underneath the black boxes. *facepalm* https://t.co/2gvYqsmE0i

For instance, on page 9 of the document, using the copy and paste trick, you can see that several blacked out lines actually read: Read more…

People couldn’t read Flynn’s redacted memos, so they made memes instead

TwitterFacebook

Are you good at reading between the lines? If not, you might want to steer clear of Robert Mueller’s memos.

On Tuesday night, the Special Counsel filed a sentencing memo recommending that Michael Flynn only serve “0 to 6 months” for providing “particularly valuable” information on several ongoing investigations.

The only problem was that massive chunks of the memos were redacted, so no one has any idea what sort of assistance Flynn actually provided.

The special counsel has redacted parts of the filing because it “includes sensitive information about ongoing investigations.” pic.twitter.com/Rw4Ks9NkL6

Whoops! Prosecutor accidentally reveals charges against Wikileaks founder Julian Assange in court filing

TwitterFacebook

The U.S. government has filed charges against Wikileaks founder Julian Assange — and the reason we know is because of a copy-and-paste error.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Kellen S. Dwyer accidentally dropped in two references to the sealed charges against Julian Assange in a filing for a separate unsealed case completely unrelated to Wikileaks. The charges against Assange, which are unknown at this time, are under seal according to a report by The Washington Post.

The unintentional disclosure appears to have occurred due to a copy-and-paste mistake, reports both The New York Times and The Guardian. It looks as if the prosecutor copied text from a similar case and neglected to swap out Assange’s name. Read more…

Jimmy Kimmel rips into Jacob Wohl for his alleged involvement in the plot to take down Robert Mueller

TwitterFacebook

You can always rely on Jimmy Kimmel to poke fun at people when they’ve messed up royally.

On Tuesday, Kimmel tore into Jacob Wohl for his alleged involvement in an elaborate plot to smear the name of Robert Mueller, former FBI director – a spectacular case of fraud that the FBI have now been asked to investigate.

Wohl, the 20-year-old Trump supporter and former hedge funder, is perhaps best known in the Twitter-sphere for having developed his own odd tweet format, where snitches on young “liberals” by tweeting out his observations from “hipster coffee shops” around Los Angeles.  Read more…
