Morgan Spurlock admits to being part of the problem. 

In a long tweet, the Super Size Me filmmaker lays down his history of sexual misconduct, from accusations of rape to paying to settle a sexual harassment allegation in the workplace. 

He also confesses to having been “unfaithful to every wife and girlfriend I ever had” and tried to dig into his own personal life to understand the motives behind his actions.

Matt Lauer releases first public statement after sexual misconduct allegations

Matt Lauer has released a public statement in response to the allegations of sexual misconduct that led to his ouster from NBC News’ Today show

In the statement, read aloud by Lauer’s former co-host, Savannah Guthrie, Lauer apologised for his actions, saying “there is enough truth in these stories to make me feel embarrassed and ashamed.” 

He also pledged to repair the damage, adding it “will take a lot of time and soul searching” and calling it “my full time job.” 

“The last two days have forced me to take a very hard look at my own troubling flaws. It’s been humbling. I am blessed to be surrounded by the people I love,” he said.  Read more…

John Lasseter, chief architect of Disney’s Pixar Animation Studios and the writer and director of Toy Story and countless other modern animated classics, is taking a six-month leave of absence over undisclosed “missteps” with employees, according to a memo circulated Tuesday and obtained by Mashable.

Lasseter’s statement to employees did not detail any misconduct, saying only that “It’s been brought to my attention that I have made some of you feel disrespected or uncomfortable” and adding: “I especially want to apologize to anyone who has ever been on the receiving end of an unwanted hug or any other gesture they felt crossed the line.” Read more…
