Saturday Night Live’s version of Dianne Feinstein, the senator whose confrontation with a group of young students and climate activists blew up in February, can’t help but berate kids.
In a sketch that was cut for time, Cecily Strong played Feins…

Watch the noice moment when the ‘Brooklyn Nine-Nine’ cast is told Season 7 is happening

TwitterFacebook

Shows get renewed all the time, but it’s not often we get to see the news delivered to their hardworking cast and crew.

On Wednesday, NBC renewed Brooklyn Nine-Nine for a seventh season, and the news was broken during a table read with the show’s cast and crew.

Needless to say, they were ecstatic.

Dirk Blocker, who stars as Detective Hitchcock on the series, posted a video of the cast celebrating, including Terry Crews, Stephanie Beatriz, and Andy Samberg.

Seven, baby! That’s right! Season 7 coming from ⁦⁦@nbcbrooklyn99⁩ 77! er, I mean 99! Either way, we’re thrilled#Brooklyn99 pic.twitter.com/z4ag06zaYf

George R.R. Martin passed on a ‘Game of Thrones’ Season 8 cameo to write ‘The Winds of Winter’

TwitterFacebook

George R.R. Martin is taking his responsibility to complete The Winds of Winter VERY seriously. The Song of Ice and Fire author told Entertainment Weekly that he turned down a Game of Thrones Season 8 cameo in order to focus on writing his long-awaited novel.

“David and Dan invited me to a cameo in one of the final episodes, which I was tempted to do,” Martin told EW. “But I didn’t think just for the sake of a cameo I could take the time to return to Belfast.”

Fans have been waiting on The Winds of Winter since A Dance With Dragons‘ 2011 publication. Since then, Thrones hit the airwaves, became a smash hit, won a boat load of Emmys, and released eight seasons (we’re counting the last one too because…yeah it’s not gonna happen). The show even took a year off, which only heightened anticipation for Season 8 instead of yielding any new material from the author. Read more…

Hostless Oscars kick off with a performance by Queen

TwitterFacebook

It’s a strange year for our friend Oscar, marooned without a host, and instead of opting for a replacement, the telecast kicked off in a whole new manner.

The Oscars opened with a performance by Queen (with Adam Lambert, who has toured with the band for years), whose songs and story defined Best Picture nominee Bohemian Rhapsody.

The audience of A-listers sang along enthusiastically, because even a room full of people who probably voted for vastly different Oscar movies can all stan Queen.

Okay one second in and the oscars are already lit.

Eminem is also mad about Netflix cancelling Marvel’s ‘The Punisher’

TwitterFacebook

Although not entirely unexpected, Netflix’s cancellation of Marvel’s The Punisher and Jessica Jones has struck some nerves.

Particularly not pleased about The Punisher being cut was Eminem, who wrote a caps-only tweet admonishing the streaming giant for its decision.

Although, credit to Eminem, he was still polite enough to end his tweet with a “sincerely.”

DEAR @NETFLIX,

REGARDING YOUR CANCELLATION OF THE PUNISHER, YOU ARE BLOWING IT!!

SINCERELY,
MARSHALL

— Marshall Mathers (@Eminem) February 21, 2019

Eminem’s tweet prompted a response from some of The Punisher’s cast, like Amber Rose Revah, who played Dinah Madani in the series. Read more…
