Stop everything, y’all. ‘The Good Place’ and ‘Parks and Rec’ exist in the same universe.

TwitterFacebook

On a list of best TV crossovers, we think we might have found the absolute best.

It turns out two of your most beloved shows — The Good Place and Parks and Recreation take place in the same universe. We may now all start referring to it as the BEST place.

On Tuesday Twitter user @ShinraAlpha pointed out that Eleanor Shellstrop’s fave magazine, Celebrity Baby Plastic Surgery Disasters, features not one but two advertisements straight from the world of Parks and Rec.

Needless to say everyone is FLOORED.

Why we’re so addicted to watching ‘This is Us’ and crying

TwitterFacebook

Warning: Spoilers for the first and second seasons of This Is Us are below.

Every Tuesday night I have a fun little tradition where I change into my pajamas, grab a snack, cuddle on my couch with a blanket, and spend one full hour having a good, raw, knuckle-biting, mascara-bleeding kind of cry.

Sound horrible? I’m well aware. But a year and three months ago I decided to let NBC’s heartbreakingly dramatic primetime show, This Is Us, into my life and these weekly sob fests are the repercussion.

I’m not alone. Over 14 million people around the world spend their Tuesday nights the exact same way — willingly allowing the show’s protagonists, the Pearson family, to emotionally destroy them week after week. Read more…

In honor of Ellen’s birthday, Michelle Obama gave America a beautiful pep talk

TwitterFacebook

In honor of Ellen DeGeneres’ 60th birthday Michelle Obama stopped by to give her (and the rest of America) the greatest gift of all — a reassuring pep talk.

“I personally feel frightened. I feel like the world is a very scary place right now,” Ellen admitted to her friend and former FLOTUS.

“People are afraid but then there are people who feel good about the direction of the country, so that’s what makes this country complicated,” Michelle said.

“We are this mosh pit of society,” she went on. “But the thing we have to remember, and the thing I learned in the eight years that I was in the White House, is that what we do every day in our lives, the good things that we do — we show empathy, we care for each other, we do have a lot in common — that’s what it means to lead with hope and not fear.” Read more…

Rose McGowan on Harvey Weinstein: ‘Everybody knew. I know that.’

TwitterFacebook

Actress, activist, and author Rose McGowan stopped by Good Morning America on Tuesday to discuss everything from “The Monster” Harvey Weinstein and her love of Twitter, to her memoir, Brave, which was released today.

The actress, who reached a settlement with Weinstein in the late ’90s, is one of dozens of women to accuse the producer of sexual misconduct.

Since that damning New York Times report was published in October, McGowan has been very vocal on Twitter — both in criticizing the entertainment industry for a lack of action over the years and in empowering women to speak out about their own experiences. Read more…

Blue Ivy just became the only human alive who’s ever told her parents to chill

TwitterFacebook

If you’re going to take Blue Ivy to an awards show PLEASE, for the love of Lemonade don’t embarrass her.

At the 60th Annual Grammy Awards Blue’s parents, Jay-Z and Beyoncé, forgot this very important rule and had the audacity to clap during Camila Cabello’s touching speech about Dreamers.

The camera caught Blue just as she whipped her hand out to silence her parents, and TBH it was the most exiting part of the night.

The Rock finally lived out his childhood piano-playing dreams

TwitterFacebook

With hard work and determination, childhood dreams do come true — just ask The Rock.

No, we’re not talking about The Rock growing up to be a professional wrestler, actor, or producer. We’re talking about him finally learning how to play my favorite ragtime song, “The Entertainer,” on the piano.

On Sunday afternoon, The Rock shared an accomplished Instagram video with his followers, excitedly announcing that after years of failure he abandoned the traditional piano and was able to learn the popular Marvin Hamlisch tune on one of those giant floor pianos. Read more…
